Light And Welcoming Montgomery Kitchen

This gorgeous kitchen was part of a whole home remodel and addition for a Montgomery family who wanted a brighter, more updated space. What was once a dark, formal kitchen has been transformed into a welcoming, open space flooded with natural lighting, with plenty of room to cook and entertain guests.

The new beamed tray ceiling with recessed lighting draws the eye up and adds abundant character to the room. A wall of windows behind a charming farmhouse sink illuminates the kitchen and creates an inviting look. The spacious center island has cozy seating on one side, and convenient drawer storage on the other to keep the kitchen organized and clutter-free. Glass doors on the upper cabinets let homeowners display personal treasures, and the rest of the cabinets are painted a clean, refreshing white. We also built a large pantry using space from the previous dining room, which the homeowner describes as “the most wonderful pantry ever.”
